In Signet the user who sends documents for signing pays for the service. A user who is sent a document can sign it at no cost. To sign documents in Signet the user must have a valid Icelandic digital certificate issued by Auðkenni or a valid digital certificate issued by Evrotrust.
There are two options for purchasing credit, on the one hand a monthly subscription with a number of included signatures per month for a monthly fee and on the other hand a signature credit of either 5 or 10 signatures that expire after 3 months.
Usage in excess of the included signatures in a monthly subscription is charged separately where each extra signature costs a certain amount. Unused included signatures do not transfer to the next month. Subscriptions are indefinite and must be cancelled by sending an email to signet@signet.is, the termination will take effect in the next period.
